Target of the “Indus” stroke disease model is to provide an open-source Markov disease model for diabetes mellitus.

Our first development will be for the Swiss health care system.

This Forum is based on a semester project with the thematical priority in „Health Care management“ of medical informatics at the Universities of Heidelberg and Heilbronn.

The beginning of the project was in April 2007.

The members of this open-source project are 13 Students of medical informatics who plan to graduate soon.

The leading operator is Dr. Wendelin Schramm, who manages the project and its developing team.

• Status as of August 2007:
  • An article in German for the Heilbronn University Journal "Facetten" is accepted for publication and will be coming soon (September 2007).
  • The Reporting Group is currently working on the german article for the Swiss magazine "Die Praxis". At the moment we are still working on the methods section. If somebody wants to join us don't hesitate to contact us.
