Prosit Publication Guidance

Abstract

This guidance focuses on setting standards that are important for studies with a health economical background. It’s main goal is to provide the reader with a set of tools and a clear path to follow so he can either contribute valuable content or information to the PROSIT project or enable him to assess the quality of information that is already part of the project. The guidance relies on the Drummond and Jefferson paper “Guidelines for authors and peer reviewers of economic submissions to the BMJ”[1], but adds information where needed for topics that are touched only superficially in the original. As the German health care system differs from its international counterparts, further information has been added which will help the reader relate to certain factors that play an important role in this system, but might be unknown to him.
