Monika Pobiruchin commenced her studies of Medical Informatics at Heilbronn University / University of Heidelberg in 2005.

She compiled a seminar paper on the German Disease Management Program for Diabetes Type 2 in 2007 which was published in a renowned German journal (MMW - Fortschritte der Medizin, 2008 Apr 10;150 Suppl 1:16-21.) She presented the paper during the German Diabetes Congress 2008 in Munich.
In September 2007 she joined the research team around Prof. Wendelin Schramm as a scientific worker. Till January 2009 she supported the organization of the biannual PROSIT Workshops in Heidelberg and Heilbronn.
From October 2009 till April 2010 she worked on her thesis and developed a simulation software for clinical trails with binomial distributed data.
In April 2010 she completed her Diploma degree (similiar to Msc.). Afterwards she joined the staff of the GECKO institute at Heilbronn University as research associate.
